Hi Mtal,
Yes, I completed my trip while blindfolded and listening to the entire playlist. I did, however, take occasional breaks for necessities like using the bathroom.
Regarding the experience, I wouldn't classify it as a "good" trip. While there were enjoyable moments, overall it wasn't particularly pleasant. It certainly didn't leave me eager to repeat the experience anytime soon. During parts of it, I cried intensely, which proved to be quite cathartic.
Typically, it's recommended to have a "sitter" present to watch over you during a trip, but I chose to do mine solo. Having a sitter might be beneficial for you.
If you're apprehensive about the experience, I suggest waiting until you feel completely prepared. The two most crucial factors for a trip are "set" (your mindset) and "setting" (your environment). It's advisable to undergo the experience in a comfortable, safe, and quiet environment. I chose to do mine in my bedroom.
Post-trip, it's important to have a framework to process and integrate the experience. For me, that framework was Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I read the book "You Are Not a Rock" in the weeks following my trip, which was extremely helpful with this. It wasn't solely the trip that resolved issues; ACT played a significant role as well.
It's also possible that I was already beginning to recover, and the mushrooms accelerated the process. What I know for certain is that they were effective. For a full month after the trip, I experienced no intrusive thoughts. When they eventually started to resurface, they had lost their potency. Now, I no longer have them – though this is also down to ACT. Through the combination of shrooms and ACT, I learned to "accept" the thoughts, which caused them to lose their power and gradually abate.
Trust this is useful
