Hi Larry,

I wouldn’t get too bogged down with labels, but yes, if you spot the same patterns as discussed in the article then it’s likely “ROCD”.

The main patterns to look out for:

1. Obsessive Thought(s)

2. Anxiety

3. Compulsive thinking/behaviours (including reassurance seeking or self-reassuring)

4. Temporary relief

5. Back to number 1

If you’re constantly going through this cycle time and again, I would suggest trying to find a good therapist to help you (full disclosure: therapy didn’t help me — other things I was doing to combat it helped me get over it — but I do think seeing a good therapist could help)
